Nine of Swords

A figure sits upright in bed with hands over face; nine swords hang on the wall behind. The Nine of Swords is the night-anxiety card — the mind churning, the fear larger at 3am than by morning. The card asks you to name the fear out loud; most of it loses weight when spoken.

Anxiety lifting with daylight; the fear named and shrunk.

Past: a season of insomnia or dread. Present: name what is keeping you up. Future: relief once daylight returns. In relationships: anxiety in the relationship that needs voicing. As a yes/no: not in this state of mind — sleep, then ask again.
