Eight of Swords

A blindfolded figure stands bound, swords stuck in the ground in a half-circle around them. The Eight of Swords is the self-trap — the situation that looks like a cage but has open sides if you look. The card asks you to take off the blindfold and walk.

Blindfold lifted; constraints seen for what they are; release.

Past: a long self-imposed trap. Present: the way out is in front of you. Future: a release once the truth is seen. In relationships: a sense of being stuck that is partly chosen. As a yes/no: not while you stay blindfolded.
