Astrolog is the web product of Marmot-Apps, a small independent studio that builds iOS and web apps from the ground up — no investors, no growth team, no advertising deals. The studio also ships a separate iOS app called Hera. Astrolog is the larger of the two: a multilingual astrology workspace that uses the same ephemeris NASA uses to fly spacecraft.
The studio was founded by Eli in 2026, and it stays small on purpose. One person designs the screens, writes the interpretations, picks the typefaces, and answers the support emails. That arrangement is unusual for a product that calculates millions of charts a year, and it is the whole point: every decision on the site is traceable to a single person who can be reached, asked, and corrected.
The mission is narrow. Apply real astronomy to astrology, in five languages, on the web, without the genre’s usual fog of horoscope filler or fear-based marketing. Make the math correct, make the prose honest, and ship it everywhere the rest of the field doesn’t bother to translate.
