Birth-time rectification is the astrological practice of inferring an unknown or uncertain birth time from major life events. The chart’s house cusps, the Ascendant and the Midheaven shift by roughly a degree every four minutes — so an imprecise birth time can place a chart’s most personal axes in the wrong sign altogether.

A rectification consultation works backward. You bring a small set of dated landmarks — a move, a marriage, a job change, a loss — and the astrologer narrows the possible birth window by checking which transits, progressions and directions actually trigger those events. The result is a working birth time, with its limits clearly stated.
