The Devil

Two figures stand chained to a low pedestal, but the chains are loose: they could lift them off. The Devil is the principle of self-binding — the contract you keep signing, the craving you keep feeding, the role you keep stepping back into. Looking at the chain honestly is half the freedom.

Liberation, breaking a contract, naming the addiction, walking away from what has been holding you.

Past: a bond, addiction, or contract you have lived inside. Present: notice what you are still feeding. Future: temptation, a transactional outcome, or — reversed — release. In a relationship spread: intense attraction, possessiveness, codependence. As a yes/no: yes, but at a cost.
